POLICY FOR ADMINISTERING MEDICATION TO STUDENTS AT SCHOOL
1) OVER-THE COUNTER MEDICATION and PRESCRIPTION MEDICATION NEED A WRITTEN SCRIPT FROM A DOCTOR AND A WRITTEN NOTE FROM THE PARENT.2) IT IS BEST TO GIVE YOUR CHILD MEDICATION AT HOME.3) Medication must be received in the ORIGINAL BOTTLE OR CONTAINER from the pharmacy WITH YOUR CHILD'S NAME, DATE, INSTRUCTIONS AND AN EXPIRATION DATE. It may be necessary to get 2 bottles or containers, one for school and one for home.4) DO NOT SEND MEDICATION ON THE SCHOOL BUS WITH THE STUDENT.5) Medication MUST BE PICKED UP BY THE END OF THE SCHOOL YEAR by an adult.
