SchoolMessenger is the parent notification system that Falconer Central School District uses. If the Building Administrator of your child's school feels there is a need to notify parents of an announcement or a situation, parents and contacts will be contacted by a voice call to the home telephone number we have listed in PowerSchool. This may be a cell number or a landline. Parents with current email addresses in PowerSchool will also be notified by email. If you would like to receive a text message, either in addition to or instead of a voice call, you must OPT-IN to receive text messages. An instruction sheet is attached at the bottom of this message.

Messages will be sent to the first contact, second contact, and third contact. Traditionally, in PowerSchool the first and second contacts are the adults who live with the child. The third contact listed is the non-custodial or joint-custodial parent of the child. Please be sure to notify your child's building secretary of any updates to the notification information.

To receive text messages on your device, you must Opt-In to the service. Text "Yes" or "Optin" to the short code 68453. You may "Opt-Out" at any time, just reply with STOP to any message or HELP if you need assistance.

Automated messages regarding student absences and low lunch balances will also be sent. If your child brings lunch daily, and you do not wish to receive low lunch balance notifications, you may contact the school and you can opt-out of lunch balance alerts.

If you do not wish to receive student absent alerts, please be sure to contact your child's building attendance office and inform them when your child will not be in school.

Please contact the guidance office if you have any questions.

    Thank you
