Falconer Central School contracts with Personal Touch Services for our school lunch program. As of December 1, 2023, ALL students in the District qualify for one free breakfast and one free lunch per day. To qualify as a free breakfast/lunch, your meal must meet the following requirements:
A meal has at least three of the five components (fruit, vegetable, meat/ meat alternative, grain, and dairy are the five components), one being a fruit or a vegetable. Our juice is 100% fruit, so it counts as a fruit.
For example:
- Pizza (has meat and grain together) and an apple is a meal
- Pizza (has meat and grain together) and green beans is a meal
- A chicken patty (has meat and grain together) and pears is a meal
- A chicken patty (has meat and grain together) and corn is a meal
Or you can have all five of the components as a meal.
For example:
- Sweet and sour chicken, rice, applesauce, broccoli, and milk
An extra piece of pizza, macaroni and cheese, grilled cheese, etc. must be purchased.
Please ask the cafeteria personnel if you are unsure if you have all the components required for a free breakfast/lunch.
